Victoria goes back-to-back at Vic Junior Club Teams
by Golf Australia
Victoria Golf Club has gone back-to-back in taking out the Victorian Junior Club Teams event at The National Golf Club (Long Island).
The format gives junior golfers the opportunity to combine their scores as a team with 3 out of the 4 individual scores counting.
The juniors play par for the day, giving them the chance to play a format not usually played at junior events.
With a late withdrawal from a player this morning, Victoria were left with just three players which meant all three would count to their score.
Alexandra Leonards led the team with a fantastic score of +5 combined with Jasmine Beer (-3) and Jessica Wilkinson (square) for an overall total of +2.
The three have enjoyed a fantastic two days of golf as they were all apart of the victorious junior pennant victory for Victoria Golf Club yesterday.
Heidelberg Golf Club were runners-up after they finished five shots behind.
The team of Angus Turner, Cody Brenner, Levi Charles and Nathan Anderson finished with a score of -3.
A further one shot behind was the team of Adam Mao, Aaron Binyon, Maxwell Oldham and Samuel Snelgar who were representing Woodlands Golf Club.
Golf Australia would like to thank The National Golf Club for their continued support of the event.
