This year's Australian Open host Victoria Golf Club have taken home the Victorian Men's Division 1 flag, while Commonwealth Golf Club were crowned Women's Division 1 premiers for a second straight year.

At Woodlands Golf Club, the men from Victoria got the better of neighbour Royal Melbourne Golf Club in a decider that was much tighter than the 5.5 - 1.5 scoreline suggested. All seven matches made it to at least the 16th green with the match of the day being a halved affair between Konrad Ciupek (Victoria) and Darcy Brereton (Royal Melbourne). Victoria's triumph comes after winning the Division 2 flag last year.

Earlier in the day, it was a case of deja vu in the women's top division as Commonwealth mirrored last year's final with another 5.5 - 1.5 victory over Victoria. Sheradyn Johnson was the standout performer for the premiers as she was six-under the card in her 7&6 win, while 12-year-old Olive Spitty won her match 2&1.

Royal Melbourne's Youth Division 1 team made sure a flag was making its way up Cheltenham Road by overcoming Peninsula-Kingswood 3 - 2. Harvey Young's victory on the 20th hole proved to be the decisive matchup.
