Victorian pennant

The Golf Society of Australia is pleased to announce the availability of a comprehensive database of Victorian Pennant results.

The database covers the period from men’s pennant inception in 1899 to 2020, with the current exception of results from 1967–1988.

Individual player and club results can be searched and can show results for an individual player such as when they played, and their win/loss percentage, or for a club, what year the club played and the division, and its win/loss record.

The results from 1967-1988 will be available in the next few months. It is also expected that recent women’s results (from the advent of Golf Victoria) will be included subsequently.

Golf Australia congratulates the team at the Golf Society, led by Murray Cropley, in developing the database. An extraordinary number of hours have gone into collating this information, and hopefully it is enjoyed by those who have an interest in Victorian Pennant.

With so many years of records included there are naturally several queries about entries. The list of queries is available from within the database and there are sure to be others. If you can assist in identifying or resolving any of these queries, it is requested you contact Murray Cropley at [email protected]. We trust you will enjoy this look through Victorian Pennant history. Click here to begin searching the database on melbournepennantgolf.golfsocietyaust.com
