Tight at the top at the Victorian Junior Open

At the halfway point of the Victorian Junior Open, both the girls and boys championships are wide open with multiple players in contention for the two titles.
After a first round 75, Tiana Wanigasekera has held onto her lead in the overall girls with a steady second round of 76.
Tiana leads by just one shot from Gracie Larsen after Larsen produced consecutive 76’s.
Abel Eduard takes the lead in the overall boys after an impressive six-under-par 66 in today’s second round.
Abel moved to an overall score of one-under par with today’s round and leads by just one from Matt McFarlane.
A strong contingent of players are chasing the pair with another five players within just five shots of Eduard.
In a remarkable feat, two hole-in-ones occurred in today’s play. Guiding the field with the first tee time of the day was Ben Waterson, who managed his ace on the third hole of the Beach Course at 13th Beach Golf Links whilst Aleisha Hannam-Lewis rattled the flagstick on the 16th resulting in her first ever hole in one.
Tomorrow’s round be played at 13th Beach Golf Links (Creek Course) before the final round returns to Barwon Heads Golf Club on Thursday.
