Tea Tree wins Southern Country Interclub
Leigh Hannon, Matthew Cross andMichael Lamkin with the Southern Country Interclub shield.

Local members Matthew Cross, Leigh Hannon and Michael Lampkin took out this year’s Southern Country Interclub conducted at Tea Tree on Sunday. The trio combined for a team stableford total of 93 points with Cross carding 35, Hannon 31 and Lampkin returning 27 points. Tasman’s team of Richard Idstrom, Steven Cooper and Andrew Monks placed second, three stableford points behind Tea Tree with a total of 90. Monks the best of the Tasman crew with 32 points, followed by Idstrom with 30 and Cooper on 28. Richmond rounded out the top three teams with 89 points on a countback from the Oatlands Golf Club. Richmond were represented by Neil Sculthorpe on 34, James Turner with 28 and Ken Shutlar on 27 points. The individual title went to Richmond Golf Club’s Matthew Joyce with 33 points on a countback from fellow team mate Graham Broomhall and Oatlands’ Rohan Barwick.
