Victorian Michael Song and Queenslander Annabelle Hutchings have won the Tasmanian junior amateur titles at Launceston Golf Club.

Song needed a playoff to get past another Victorian, Levi Schlater, with whom he tied on 300 (12-over par) for the four rounds of strokeplay.

The playoff lasted four holes, until Song finally birdied to take the title.

Queenslanders Mitchell Revie and Manato Nakatani were tied third at 14-over par.

Hutchings, who plays out of Cairns Golf Club, won the girls’ title by two shots, shooting eight-over par for the four rounds to beat Sakura Sugiyama of Royal Pines.
