Cameron Smith dipped to tied-fourth after two rounds of the RBC Heritage on the US PGA Tour today after carding an even-par 71 to go with his sizzling first-round 62.

The Australian lost the lead early and made three bogeys to go with his three birdies, but was not unhappy with his round.

“Wasn't actually too bad out there,” he said afterward. “I think the golfing gods got a few back on me today. They let everything in yesterday, and today I thought I was putting really good and just had a lot of putts that went over the edge, didn't go in. So everything is looking good. Looking forward to tomorrow.”

Smith is seven shots shy of the runaway leader, veteran Stewart Cink who shot a second, straight 63.

New South Welshman Cameron Davis logged a second-round 69 to sit just outside the top 30.
