Golf Australia and Golf New Zealand have regrettably decided to reschedule the 2021 Sanctuary Cove Cup for a second time. Due to ongoing uncertainty around travel restrictions surrounding Covid-19, highlighted by the current suspension of the trans-tasman bubble, the decision was made to reschedule the event until 2022. The event was rescheduled for the first time in July last year when the pandemic was reaching its peak. Australia will remain as hosts, with dates and venues confirmed in the coming months. The Sanctuary Cove Cup is Teams event featuring foursomes, fourball and singles matches, played biennially between a team of men from Golf Australia and a team of men from Golf New Zealand aged 55 years and over. The event has been played since 2007 and fosters relationships between Australian and New Zealand golf. It is rotated between both countries and an equivalent women’s match is also contested.
