Pelican Waters Golf Club

Located in the stunning surrounds of Golden Beach, Pelican Waters Golf Club is the first ever Greg Norman-designed course on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast. Proudly Australian owned and operated by the Palm Lake Group, this spectacular 18-hole championship course provides thrilling challenges and well-deserved rewards throughout the undulating fairways that weave in and around wetlands. Pelican Waters Golf Club hosted the Isuzu Queensland Open in 2020 and 2021.

“It typifies my design philosophy,” Norman said. “I ask myself... how do I feel when I walk off an extremely boring course unable to remember a single hole I just played?

“Anyone can build the hardest course in the world or the most boring course in the world. That isn’t a big deal. But to finish playing a course like Pelican Waters and remember each shot of the 18 holes is what great design is all about.”

The greater Pelican Waters Golf Club precinct will soon be home to an iconic over-50s community lifestyle resort complete with Country Club and additional world-class facilities. Opulence will abound, with golf at the core of Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters. This resort will benefit from Palm Lake Group’s more than 44 years of experience in developing and operating lifestyle communities right across Australia’s east coast. With 28 locations, including six aged caring communities, some 11,000 people call a Palm Lake Group address home.
