Nestled between the sea, Spencer Gulf, and the Flinders Ranges is the Port Germein Golf Course. It is a winter course, only open between March through September and boasts one of the cheapest green fees of only $2, to be found anywhere. The 18 holes are set amongst gentle sand dunes with native grass fairways. Over the past five years, hundreds of native trees have been planted outlining the generous fairways and course boundaries. Competition days are Wednesday for the women and Saturday for the men, and the club has approximately 60 members. The Port Germein Golf Course boasts of a unique golfing surface with a mix of lush grass fairways and gently undulating sand dunes. The trees accentuate the span of the fairways and also make the course appear extremely inviting. Visitors welcome.
