Su Oh rattled around Sentosa in a 68 to put herself in the mix as the Australians started well at the HSBC Women's World Championship on the LPGA Tour in Singapore today.

Melburnian Oh, 24, made seven birdies in a rollercoaster round that could have been even better had she not made a double bogey six at the par-four third hole.

But at four under par she is just four shots from the lead held by South Korean legend Inbee Park, the world No. 2 and reigning Olympic champion. Park was at her brilliant best in shooting 64 on the opening day to lead by a shot from ISPS Handa Vic Open champion Hee Young Park (65).

Queenslander Katherine Kirk shot an opening 69, three under par, as did Perth' Minjee Lee while Hannah Green opened with a 71 as the Australians all broke par in hot and humid conditions.
