Northern Golf Club president Peter Randles and captain Daniel Wright took the honours at the Victorian club presidents’ and captains’ golf day.

Played at the newly refurbished Latrobe Golf Club, 143 presidents, captains and officials from 45 clubs around the state were represented.

The primary event of the day was an aggregate stableford event for the Foster Perpetual Trophy. Randles and Wright returned 71 points to claim victory, with Robbie Anderson and Margaret Batrouney from Sorrento Golf Club in second place with 69 points.

The day provided an opportunity for officials to network and engage with other committee members, with Golf Australia presenting on its achievements over the last 12-months, and its priorities for the upcoming year.

“It was great to see so many clubs represented, and the players enjoying the camaraderie of the day,” Therese Magdulski, GA's Victorian state manager said.

“Latrobe was a wonderful host, and it is a great opportunity for Golf Australia to come face-to-face with our club boards."
