North vs South Junior Match Play Tees Off
Hunter Gillard will tee up for the South.

The Longford and Pittwater Golf Clubs will host the 2021 Junior North vs South for boys and girls on October 1 and 4. The Junior North vs South will be a keenly contested event with the Southern team out to avenge its loss in 2019. The South have named a strong team which will be spearheaded by Royal Hobart Golf Club member and one handicapper, Hunter Gillard. While five members of the Tasmania Golf Club have been selected and include Matthew Aylett, Eli Monaghan, Ryan Puchas, Fletcher Ryan and Lachlan White. Launceston Golf Club’s Jorjah Bailey and Riverside’s Isaac Roberts will play pivotal roles in the North’s title defence. While the likes of Devonport’s Jonty Lunson and Thirlstane Golf Club’s Hayden Richardson are expected to perform strongly for the reigning champions. The Southern team is being managed by Tasmania Golf Club head professional Nick White, while Peter Roberts from the Riverside Golf Club is managing the North. The Junior North vs South will see the two regions battle it out in singles match-play with each team comprised of ten members. The Junior North vs South will be played at the Longford Golf Club on October 1 and Pittwater Golf Club on October 4.

North: Jorjah Bailey (Launceston), Mani Jessup (Devonport), Jasper Kubank (Ulverstone), Kynan Lee (Ulverstone), Jonty Lunson (Devonport), Josh Milich (Prospect Vale), Hayden Richardson (Thirlstane), Isaac Roberts (Riverside), Koby Wegman (Mowbray), Beau Wheeler (Thirlstane) and Peter Roberts, Manager (Riverside).

South: Matthew Aylett (Tasmania), Max Coventry (Tasmania), Hunter Gillard (Royal Hobart), Edison Lee (Kingston Beach), Eli Monaghan (Tasmania), Ryan Purchas (Tasmania), Izac Sterling (Kingston Beach), Jordan Sterling (Kingston Beach), Mackenzie Thomas (Royal Hobart), Lachlan White (Tasmania) and Nick White, Manager (Tasmania).
