Meeniyan Golf Club is located amidst the lush farming area of South Gippsland. Formed by a group of keen golfers (mostly farmers) who were able to obtain donated land. It was originally a nine hole course with sheep grazing the fairways and the greens fenced off except on playing days. The eighteen hole course was constructed and opened in 1969. Today the Meeniyan Golf Club provides golf for its approximately 150 members and visitors with an immaculate clubhouse and well-maintained facilities. Social Groups are very welcome will find picturesque quiet surroundings in which to enjoy their golf, as well as home cooked meals if requested. The challenging gently undulating course with watered greens and fairways, is situated in a picturesque rural setting, 3kms from the Meeniyan township, close to Waratah Bay and Wilsons Promontory. The Club is fully licensed, has BBQ facilities and a bar.
