Sydney's Stephanie Kyriacou and Finland's Sanna Nuutinen have set up a final-round finale after carding matching seven-under par 65's in the Ladies European Tour's (LET) Big Green Egg Open overnight.

Playing in the final group of the day, Kyriacou and Nuutinen turned on a sizzling display of golf at the Rosendaelsche Golf Club just outside of the historic town of Arnhem, trading birdies to finish the third round at 13 under par for the tournament. The pair are now four shots clear of third place, Thailand’s Atthaya Thittikul at nine under, with Austria’s Christine Wolf and Scot Kylie Henry another three shots back at minus six. After starting the third round at six-under, it was Kyriacou who made the first move, rolling in four consecutive birdies on holes three through to six to grab an early two-shot lead. The Finn responded, and when she birdied the 8th and 9th, the pair had both made the turn in 32. Kyriacou wasn’t finished though, and with four more birdies on the back nine it looked like she was going to get to the clubhouse in sole possession of the lead. An untimely bogey on the par-five 17th, however, took some wind out of the St Michael’s buzz saw sails, and when Nuutinen made birdie on the same hole, the pair were again tied. Despite the late-round snafu, Kyriacou was pleased with her day’s work post-round. “I was having fun out there, holing some long putts, which is always enjoyable. “We both played really well, so it was anyone’s game the whole day.” Asked about what it would mean to collect her first trophy as a professional, The 2020 LET Rookie of the Year acknowledged it would be a great feeling, but she wasn’t getting too far ahead of herself. “It will be interesting tomorrow. I haven’t thought about what it would mean but it would be great to get my first professional win,” the 20-year-old said.
