Kim qualifies for US Amateur

Flying under the radar is something Grace Kim hasn’t been doing of late.
Kim has been collecting wins across the US and parlayed her most recent into a top-10 finish on the Symetra Tour, but lost in the noise of the stellar wins of Steph Kyriacou and Cameron Davis last week, Kim notched up another mini-milestone: qualifying for this year’s US women’s Amateur. The reigning NSW & Australian Amateur Champion carded a tidy two under par 70 last week at St Clair Golf Club, Michigan, to take medallist honours and one of the four available spots on offer. It will be Kim’s first start in the storied championship, which will be played at the famous Westchester Country Club in New York beginning on August 2. The Avondale star qualified for the US Girls Junior in 2019, eventually making it to the round of 16 before losing to California Brooke Seay on the 21st hole.
The US Women's Amateur is from 2-9 August at Westchester Country Club in New York.
