Grace Kim’s American tour de force continues to roll strongly through Texas.

A month after winning on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, the in-form Sydney amateur stands on the brink of victory on the Women’s All Pro Tour in Texas.

It follows her third place overall at last week’s Women’s Texas Open where she was also low amateur.

Kim, 20, extended her 54-hole lead to six strokes in the Oscar Williams Classic in Anna today on what is a direct feeder route to the Symetra Tour.

The winner and runner-up at Hurricane Creek Country Club tomorrow will earn a start in the Symetra Tour’s Prasco Charity Championship later this month in Cincinatti.

Kim, crowned Austalian Amateur champion in Adelaide in February before heading to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, has been stellar this week.

She followed opening rounds of 67-69 with another fine 68 today, featuring five birdies against one late bogey, for the days’s second best round and to leap to 12 under.

She will be grouped with nearest rivals, American Gabriella Then (-6) and German Greta Voelker (-5) in the final round.

“I just feel very comfortable and good about my game so far,” Kim said after her round.

“I’m trying to beat the course rather than trying to beat someone else or a score.

“The third place last week definitely gave me some reassurance of how good my game is how it can compete.”
