Junior Vic Open set for thrilling finish

After two rounds of the Junior Vic Open, both the girls and boys championships are wide open with multiple players in contention for the two titles.
In the boys overall gross, Queensland’s Quinnton Croker produced a fantastic four-under-par 68 to take a one shot lead at the halfway stage.
Playing the Creek course at 13th Beach, Croker finished with six birdies in his round to take his overall score to five under for the tournament.
Closely behind is New South Wales' Cooper Gentle on four under for the event.
Gentle finished with the equal best round of the day shooting a brilliant 67.
Joining Croker and Gentle in the final group will be reining Victorian Boys Champion, Nathan Page.
Page finished with a 69 to take him to three under for the tournament and sit two shots back.
In the girls section, Victoria’s Jeneath Wong and Queensland’s Cassie Porter are tied at six under.
The pair finished with 69, 68 respectively to lead by two from Lion Higo and Kerri Bong.
In the age divisions, Jeneath Wong also leads the girls under 16 gross by eight from Tiana Wanigasekara with the pair tied for the lead in the net section.
Molly McLean will take an eight-shot lead in the girls under 14 gross after her rounds of 72-75.
Amy Im sits in second after rounds of 74-81.
It is McLean who leads the net by three over Gracie Larsen.
In the boys age group sections, Andrew Park has a two shot advantage over Yevin Samararatne in the under 16 gross, with Corey Wakeman leading the net.
The under 14 boys sees a great contest between Bailey Goodall and Rupert Toomey taking place.
Goodall leads Toomey by three with Goodall also leading the under 14 boys net.
Play will be at the beach course at 13th Beach for the next two days.
