Matt Jones and Jason Scrivener logged top-10 finishes on the US and European tours today, continuing Australia's strong year around the world.

Jones, the 40-year-old two-time Australian Open champion, began the final day of the Bermuda Championship within two shots of the lead and shot a closing 67, but fell just short at the Port Royal course. The Sydneysider made five birdies and was in contention until he bogeyed the 15th hole.

He finished tied-fourth, three shots behind the 48-year-old American Brian Gay, who picked up a momentous win in a playoff.

It is Jones' best finish on the US Tour since last year's Barbasol Championship, where he also finished fourth.

Meanwhile Scrivener rattled home on the final day of the Cyprus Open on the European Tour with a 64 to finish tied-sixth. It was the Western Australian's best result of the season. Bermuda Championship result Cyprus Open result
