Golf Australia will soon begin to reboot its high performance programs.

As golf tours and tournaments around the world begin to emerge from the Covid-19 crisis, the need for Australian athletes to access training, resources and other information will also return.

Golf Australia high performance general manager Brad James said some of his staff would return in a limited capacity from 1 June to make that possible.

“Our programs won’t be fully operational and will operate under strict health protocols and government regulations that we’re all getting used to,” said James, who said all salaries and operational costs will be covered by external funding.

“Golf Australia is very fortunate to have support from the Australian Institute of Sport, the Queensland Academy of Sport and the Victorian Institute of Sport to continue to invest and deliver programs for our future stars.”
