The first nine holes were designed by Rupert S Black, a renowned golf architect who designed the Royal Queensland Golf Course, as well assisting in the layout of the Elanora and Oatlands courses in Sydney. The second nine holes were designed some years later by acknowledged architect, Arthur East.
