Australia's top amateur, Grace Kim, has delivered a career highlight and her second victory in a professional tournament in Texas.

The 20-year-old Kim, who won the Australian Amateur earlier this year, held on to win the Oscar Williams Classic on the Women's All Pro Tour at Hurricane Creek Country Club outside Dallas, Texas, by two shots.

At one point of the final round she led by nine shots before a series of mishaps on the back nine, including a triple bogey at the par-four 11th hole and a double bogey at the par-five 17th. But her closing 73 to go with earlier rounds of 67-69-68 left her at 11 under par and two shots ahead of Frenchwoman Emma Broze.

The win gets a start for Avondale Golf Club's Kim in a Symetra Tour event in Cincinnati later this month. She is the first amateur ever to win a WAPT regular season tournament.

Kim previously won a tournament on the Cactus Tour during this trip to the US.

SYDNEY pro Steph Kyriacou is back in contention in Europe, this time in the Scandinavian Mixed event in Gothenburg.

Kyriacou fired a second-round 68 to reach 10 under par, just three from the lead held by Swede Caroline Hedwell in the mixed-gender tournament.
