Grace finally dares to dream Augusta

After having her dream of competing at the 2020 Augusta National Women’s Amateur ripped away from her due to COVID, Avondale’s Grace Kim looks like finally getting her chance to compete on the hallowed fairways of Augusta National.

Kim jetted out of Sydney today bound for Georgia and the 2021 Augusta Women’s Amateur, due to start in just under a week.

Kim admitted the buildup to Augusta had given her some nerves. However, when it gets closer to the game day, she knows things will fall into place.

“I’m nervous, but nervous in a good way. It’s definitely mixed with excitement.”

"I'm going to take it all in. Nerves, excitement, pressure, whatever it is, all in!"

Beyond that, Kim will take the first steps towards, hopefully, a card on the LPGA Tour.

“I don’t know when I will be getting back, to be honest.

“With Covid, who knows, there’s several plans. Either come back for a bit in May or June or after Q-School at the end of August,” Kim said before departure.

The Augusta National Women’s Amateur begins on Thursday, March 31 and runs till April 3rd.
