Golf SA Board elections

At the 11th Annual General Meeting of Golf SA held on Saturday 26 October 2019 at The Playford Adelaide, John Norman was re-elected to the Board, while Kathryn Needs was elected for the first time.

Golf SA Chair Tony Timmins who did not stand for re-election was appointed by the Board immediately after the AGM filling a causal vacancy until early 2020.

Needs has held a number of leadership positions within government institutions and bring skills in leadership, project management and financial management to the board as a qualified Financial Planner and having run a small business. As a member of The Grange, Needs has also served as a sub-committee member.

In accordance with Clause 10 of the Golf SA Constitution - Composition of the Board that states – there shall be a minimum of 40% of either gender in the total composition of the Board. The current Golf SA Board has 50% male/female representation.
