Clancy, Walker jump to Tas Open lead

Western Australia’s Sheridan Clancy leads the Women’s Tasmanian Open following the second round of play today at Kingston Beach Golf Club while Victorian Toby Walker shot to the lead in the men's Open. Clancy, the Lake Karrinyup member, carded a two-under-par round of 69 today to be one shot clear of over-night leader Keeley Marx on three-under-par. Marx added a two-over round of 73 to her 67 yesterday to be running second on two-under-par for the tournament. South Australia’s Caitlin Peirce is third on one-under-par after recording a two-over round of 73 today. Tasmania Golf Club’s Mackenzie Wilson is the leading Tasmanian female on three-over-par. In the men's Walker's seven-under-par round of 64 vaulted him to the lead at 10-under from Queensland’s Sam Howse from the Brisbane Golf Club by two strokes leading into tomorrow’s third round. Queensland’s James Mee is third on seven-under-par and is followed by the leading male Tasmanian, Ronan Filgate from the Prospect Vale Golf Club, on six-under. The Lakes Golf Club’s Geoffrey Nicholas continues to lead the Tasmanian Inclusive Championship following today second round. Nicholas carded an eight-over-par 79 today for a tournament total of 12-over and leads fellow New South Welshman Cameron Pollard from Sawtell Golf Club by one stroke on 13-over. Damien Thomlinson from the Magenta Shores Golf Club in New South Wales is placed third on 21-over-par. Kathleen Tanner from New South Wales holds a commanding lead in the Tasmanian Inclusive Championship’s stableford competition. Tanner carded 38 points today to go with her opening round of 29 points and leads Queensland’s Shem Aitken by 13 points.
