West Australian Joseph Buttress and Queenslander Yuuki Takada won their respective Tasmanian Junior Amateur titles in convincing fashion at the Devonport Golf Club today.

Buttress, a member of the West Australian Golf Club, triumphed by seven strokes in the boys' championship with rounds of 71, 66, 70 and 69 across the two days to card four-under par for the tournament.

He finished ahead of Queenslander Dujuan Snyman who continued his good form from his victory at the South Australian Junior Masters last week. Three shots behind Snyman, in third place, was Tasmanian Hunter Gillard.

Takada, from Southport Golf Club, was dominant to win the girls' championship by eight strokes with rounds of 73, 71, 71 and 75 to be six-under par.

Tasmanian Jorjah Bailey finished runner-up, while Queensland's Ilani Short finished in third at four-over par.
