FEAST golf day, South Australia’s only golf event for the LGBTIQ community, is happening again in November. The event will again be held at the fabulous Aston Hills Golf Club at Mt Barker in the Adelaide Hills, and it’s expected to attract LGBTIQ players from all over the state. Organiser Ros Bent said she was proud that her club hosted the event in the spirit of inclusiveness and togetherness, with good feedback from last year’s first hosting. “The focus of the day is getting out, having a game in safe, queer, celebratory style, with a bit of friendly competition and some great prizes thrown in,” she said. The format is Pinehurst foursomes, with maximum handicaps set for players without a Golf Australia handicap. Players can come with a partner, play in a team or four, or allow themselves to be teamed up with onthers on the day. The event, which is part of the broader Feast LGBTIQ festival in the South Australian capital, will be held on 7 November with a 9am tee-off.
