Indooroopilly Golf Club's oldest member Hugh Brown makes playing golf at the age of 99 look easy.

If getting out on course multiple times a week was not impressive enough, Brown took it one massive step further by making a hole-in-one last Friday.

Playing the 5th hole on the club's blue course, Brown hit it straight up the middle with his driver and his friends in the group in front watched his ball roll straight into the cup.

It was a moment of glory not foreign to the 99-year-old, who made his first ever ace back in 1963 and he was delighted to break his 58 year drought.

"It was a long time between drinks," he said.

The avid golfer is part of Indooroopilly's self-proclaimed 'Old and Bold' group of members.

The group regularly play together on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and like to enjoy a post-round refreshment together - especially on a day where one of their own makes a hole-in-one!
