2021 Australian Golf Strategy Roadshow Invitation
by Australian Golf Media
As you may be aware, over the past six months, we have embarked as an industry on an ambitious plan to create Australian Golf’s first national strategy. The strategy is being designed with a focus on Golf’s potential – to address our sport’s current challenges, to support our sustainable future, and to capitalise on opportunities for growth. This process has been led by Golf Australia, in conjunction with other leading golf bodies, the PGA of Australia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia. Since May, we have conducted over 40 interviews and 26 workshops, received 7,000 survey responses, and held two interactive virtual conferences attended by over 250 people. Our work is now in its final stages and we are excited to present this draft Australian Golf Strategy to all Club Committee Members, General Managers, PGA Members, district representatives, facility managers and other industry representatives from across the country. Together with Gavin Kirkman (CEO – PGA of Australia), Karen Lunn (CEO – WPGA Tour of Australasia), James Sutherland (CEO - Golf Australia) is delighted to invite you to attend one of our Australian Golf strategy roadshow presentations, to be held on the below dates: Regional clubs/facilities:
Tuesday, November 9 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (AEST)
Tuesday, November 16 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (AEST)
Metropolitan clubs/facilities:
Thursday, November 11 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (AEST)
Thursday, November 18 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (AEST)
In line with our whole-of-sport approach, we will be running these sessions according to regional/metropolitan split, as we believe this will provide an opportunity to discuss themes common to all golf, as well as those challenges and opportunities that arise according to location. Each roadshow will be held via Webex, and we will provide the link to the session as well as a short document to consider beforehand. We are excited to have Australian Golf aligned behind this strategy, and hope for a strong turnout at these sessions. While we will be distributing this invite widely, please don’t hesitate to forward on to your colleagues, be they PGA Members, General Managers or club/facility committees and members. Thank you again for your contribution to Australian Golf’s first national strategy and we look forward to seeing you next month.
