Senior Golf

"Seniors Golf" is the biggest growth area in the game in recent years and Golf Queensland is continually attempting to provide more events for this group of golfers. Some of the key events for seniors include:

PresCare Queensland Senior Order of Merits
Golf Queensland successfully introduced the Queensland Senior Order of Merit (QSOOM) to the calendar in 2013. Since then, the event has provided senior golfers with a cost effective and regular competition golf game. Predominantly based in south east Queensland, the QSOOM has around 24 events on the calendar played from Brisbane to Toowoomba and north to the Sunshine Coast. Queensland Senior Club Teams Challenge
After being trialled as a pilot event in 2006, the event runs April to September and features teams of eight playing four Scratch single matches and two handicap Fourball Matches, all in Matchplay format. All players must be 55 years and over and two must be 60 years and Over. Matches are played on a home and away basis. Queensland Senior Amateur Championship
The Queensland Senior Amateur Championship is open for amateur golfers aged 55 years and over. To find out more visit the 2018 Calendar.

Jack Brown Shield
In co-operation with the PGA - Qld Division, Golf Queensland contest an annual match against a team from the PGA. Teams comprise of 10 players.
