US Open: Aussie tee times

Marc Leishman’s rise to major championship contender has been franked by his US Open grouping.

The loveable Victorian will play alongside World No.4 Rory Mcllroy and Spaniard Jon Rahm in a marquee trio at Pebble Beach next week.

Leishman, the world No.21 who has finished in the top 10 of major championships five times in the past six years, will tee off at 7:51am local time next Thursday (12:51am AEST Friday), then at 1:36pm Friday (6:36am AEST Saturday).

Queensland trio Adam Scott, Jason Day and Cameron Smith will also tee in the 119th edition of the US Open, but this time will be joined by qualifiers Aaron Baddeley, Marcus Fraser, Matt Jones and Brett Drewitt.
