The 2016 Victorian Junior Averages have been finalised with Andre Lautee and Linley Ooi taking home the Geoff Ogilvy and Future Champions trophies respectively.

Lautee walked away with the title in 2015 and backed up his solid form with by achieving an adjusted average of 68.866 across his 35 rounds. Lautee, along with Ooi had a solid finish to the year by capturing the 2016 Murray River Junior Masters titles at Tocumwal and Cobram-Barooga in late December. Lautee’s consistency was evident all year with several top place finishes locally and interstate. The domination from young gun Nathan Page continued into the 2016 season capturing the U14 boys title with an adjusted mean of 71.9.

Meanwhile Ooi managed a very impressive average of 69.333 in the Future Champions trophy to capture the yearlong averages title. Not only did she walk away with the overall honours but she also claimed the U16 girls title by 1.5 strokes from Commonwealth’s Sheradyn Johnson. Like Lautee, the Kew member was steady all year with several wins across her massive tally of 43 rounds. Young gun Piper Stubbs was too good in the U14 section with an adjusted average of 71.4.
