Australia’s Minjee Lee has moved into contention at the LPGA Tour’s Canadian Open in Ontario today, continuing to show a return to form.

Lee, 23, fired her second round in the 60s, a 66 with six birdies, to vault into a tie for seventh at Magna Golf Club.

The Perth superstar has been in what for her is a flat patch since her win at the LA Open in April, which took her up to a career-best world No. 2 ranking. She is currently at No. 4 in the world.

Nicole Broch Larsen of Denmark leads the field at 12-under par, a shot ahead of world No. 1 Jin Young Ko of South Korea at 11-under. Lee is five shots back at seven-under.

The other Australian playing well this week, Su Oh, triple-bogeyed the 17th hole to drop off the leaderboard, ending up with a one-under par 71 to be tied-15th going into the weekend.

MEANWHILE in the first round of the LPGA Tour School in California, Perth’s Hira Naveed is the leading Australian through two rounds, tied-27th.
