Australian Men’s Senior heads to Melbourne

Spring Valley

Spring Valley Golf Club in Melbourne will host the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur Championship from 9-11 October 2018.

A maximum field of 156 players will tee it up for the event to be played over 54-holes stroke play. Players must have reached their 55th birthday with a maximum handicap limit of 9.4.

It is the first time Spring Valley Golf Club has hosted the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur, however it is no stranger to hosting National Championships, having hosted the Australian Boys’ Amateur in 2008.

Spring Valley was recently rated in Australia’s top 50 golf courses by Golf Australia Magazine. Situated on the Melbourne sandbelt, its holes demand well shaped shots from the tees and the irons to the flags must be played with precision. The 5,925 metre layout, par 71 will be a true test.

Entries open on 10 July.
