Aussies On Tour: Aug 5

Aug 5 AOT

It was an important weekend on both sides of the Atlantic, with the final women's major of the year under way in England and the men's PGA Tour regular season wrapping up in the US.

Young guns Minjee Lee, Hannah Green and Su Oh were all in the red on Sunday at the AIG Women's British Open, that trio all cracking the top 25 on the standings.

In the US, Cam Davis finished T22 to lead the way on the big stage but he and Curtis Luck will now head back to the Korn Ferry Tour Finals in a fortnight to fight their way back onto the PGA Tour.

But a little further north it was Ryan Ruffels who produced the weekend's most impressive result, the Victorian grinding out a T3 on the PGA Tour Canada to now give himself a look in at a 2020 Korn Ferry Tour card.

Ruffels must crack the top five in Canada (he is now 15th) or on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica Order of Merit (where he currently sits 5th) in order to make his way to the US's secondary circuit for next year.

But for now, a second #AussieOfTheWeek honour will have to suffice!
