Australia’s Minjee Lee and Su Oh are once again pushing for a win on the LPGA Tour’s Swinging Skirts tournament in Taiwan.

Lee and Oh were both in contention in Busan last week, and they are both on the leaderboard after the first round in Taipei City.

Western Australian Lee shot a 67 with six birdies and a bogey to be third at five-under par, a shot behind first-round leader Mi Jung Hur of South Korea at six-under.

Victoria’s Oh, who had a big chance last week before fading on the final day, had a share of the first-round lead for much of her opening round and signed for a 68 to be tied-fourth.

Lee said she had taken positives from playing well in Korea last week. “Yeah, definitely, I mean, I played pretty well,” she said. “I just sort of made a couple soft mistakes here and there. I guess the difference between me having a like really, really good round and just like an average round is that. I'm just trying to eliminate those and have a good score.”

Oh said she “learned a lot” playing in the last group in Busan, and added that she was able to shake off an untimely double bogey sixth at the ninth hole. “I was kind of angry but I wasn't like fuming,” she said. “I was like maybe I'll just like make a couple of birdies.

I feel -- and then I went like birdie, birdie, birdie. I was like, oh, okay, that's nicer.”
