International organisations supporting golfers with disability

The European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) is made-up of the National Governing Bodies from 17 countries. Although EDGA is focused on the European dimension, organisations from around the World regularly reference to EDGA for direction, advice and more specifically the definitions of impairment, eligibility and tournament criteria.

U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance are a national coalition of leading adaptive golf organisations in the U.S. working together to grow the game of golf for people in the United States with disability. The U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance links golfers with disability to National and local organisations that run tournaments and coaching programs.

South African Disabled Golf Association (SADGA) are an affiliated partner of the South African Golf Association and runs tournaments, events and coaching for golfers with a physical or intellectual impairment in South Africa. The association runs the SA Disabled Golf Open in May each year and has hosted the World Cup of Disabled Golf in 2014 & 2015.

In 1998 the International Blind Golf Association (IBGA) was formed to set conditions, sanction and provide funding for international open blind golf events. Today, the IBGA is made-up of 19 National Blind Golf Associations around the globe and has over 400 registered members.

World Deaf Golf Federation (WDGF) is responsible for the sport of golf in the Deaf Sport community.  Constitution and policies guide the organisation and its members on the governance of the WDGF and the management of World Deaf Golf Championships.
