Pennant Wrap - Semi Finals - Women’s A1 ‘Sanderson Cup’

The Grange will play Glenelg in the Sanderson Cup final after both teams had comprehensive wins in semi-finals played at Kooyonga on Sunday.

The Grange secured their place in the final defeating Kooyonga 4-1. Winners for The Grange were Amelia Whinney 7&5 over Deb Percey, Jean Foo 3&2 against Jodie Deacon and Cassidy Evreniadis 3&2 over Lyn McGough.

Witht the result decided the final two matches between Jill Trenorden and Louise Glennon (number three) and Hayley Hunt and Caitlin Roberts at number one were halved..

Glenelg fine-tuned their preparation for the grand final defeating Royal Adelaide 4-1. Glenelg’s bottom three players Shakira-ann Kuys 6&5 over Julie Michelmore, Josie Gale 7&5 against Anne Ellis and Sarah Crocker 7&5 over Juliet Hugo all had solid wins.

With the result decided, the players in the top two matches, Elysia Yap versus Sophie Hilditch and Charley Jacobs against Caitlin Peirce, picked up and the matches were halved.
