Tasmanians Get into Golf

Get Into Golf

Tasmanians will be among the first to have a crack at Get Into Golf.

A brand new Golf Australia program, Get Into Golf is for anyone who has ever wanted to play the sport, but for whatever reason, just never got around to it.

GA’s Tasmanian development manager Simon Weston said the program would run across the state with a very simple focus: just exposing people to golf.

“The program was launched nationally recently and we’re excited that our clubs will be among the first to bring it to a whole new range of prospective golfers,” Weston said.

“Programs will be kept very social and interactive and focus on giving participants plenty of opportunities to explore skills and build their confidence in preparation to hit the golf course.

“There’s going to be plenty of hitting… and unlike past programs, it’s going to be all about you.”

"Several Tasmanian clubs will offer free Get into Golf “come and try” sessions, including Ulverstone, Devonport, Scottsdale, Riverside, Claremont, Bridport and Tasmania golf clubs.
