Played over 72 holes - 36 holes stroke play each day

Open to all junior boys and girls who are members of Clubs affiliated with Golf Australia or Overseas Associations as are affiliated with or recognised by Golf Australia who are under the age of 18 years as at the first day of competition.

A cut will be made after 36 holes on Thursday with the leading 42 boys and 18 girls advancing to the final 36 holes on Friday. Please note: cut size and percentage of boy/girl is subject to change based on entry numbers.

A team’s event will be played in conjunction with the boys’ & girls’ 72 holes championship for nominated Interstate Invitees and SA selected team.

(This event is an Australian Junior Boys’ & Girls’ Ranking event and SA Junior Boys Vardon Trophy Event)

Gross & Nett trophies will be presented for the event (players will not be permitted to win more than one prize voucher)

Player Information


The Match Committee reserves the right to determine the size of the field with a maximum combined field size being 90 players. The field to comprise a minimum number of 36 boys and 36 girls (registrations permitting). If a ballot is required, the higher handicap competitors as at the closing date of registrations will be eliminated first. Unsuccessful entrants will be informed without delay. Entrance fees will be refunded to competitors balloted out.

Subject to the general age and eligibility requirements, the following players shall be exempt from any ballot;
a. Nominated interstate invitees
b. 2018 SA Junior Boys and Girls State Team members
c. Any special exemptions at discretion of the SA Match Committee.
