Maguire leads at Maroochy

Damian Maguire of Pennant Hills leads the charge after day one of the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur at Maroochy River Golf Club, QLD.

The New South Welshman carded six birdies for a two-under round of 70 to be one shot ahead of Michael Lucas (Harvey, WA).

Hot conditions made scoring challenging, with only 5 players out of 135 finishing on level par or better.

In the Senior Interstate Stroke Teams Event, ACT and WA are both tied on the lead at +11.

Scoring for the teams’ event is calculated from the the best three scores out of four for an aggregate total.
