Try Swing Fit at the ISPS Handa WAO

Come and Try SF WAO 2018

Swing Fit, the fun, healthy and social way for women to get started in golf, is heading to Adelaide and can be enjoyed alongside the world’s best golfers at the 2018 ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.

Free “come-and-try” sessions are being held throughout the upcoming championship and are open to any female who wants to have a go at golf.

“You’ll learn the basics of the golf swing and how to putt, whilst also getting your whole body moving through yoga and Pilates style conditioning and movement exercises,” Serrin Bertino, Golf Australia’s female participation co-ordinator explained.

Swing Fit has been developed to give women the fun, social experiences they are looking for from an introduction to golf. Better still, the health and fitness elements of Swing Fit take people outside – to beautiful, natural environments – rather than a claustrophobic gym.

The Swing Fit sessions will run 10am on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February at Kooyonga Golf Club, and registrations include a free ticket to the championship, so participants can enjoy watching the world’s best golfers after their session!

“You don’t need any golf knowledge or equipment, simply turn up in your active wear and have a go,” suggests Serrin. “This is such a fantastic, free way to try a sport that you might just love for the rest of your life.”

To register, visit swingfit.com.au  Please note, the sessions are only open to first-time Swing Fit participants/beginner golfers or Swing Fit participants who bring a friend who is new to the program.
