Opportunity of a lifetime for MyGolf girls

Want to introduce your daughter to a sport she can play for the rest of her life? A sport that teaches life skills, creates lifelong friendships and encourages family participation?

Well, now you can!

MyGolf, Australia’s national introductory junior golf program, is running a come-and-try session for girls during this year’s ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at Adelaide’s Kooyonga Golf Club.

Designed for kids aged 5-12, MyGolf helps develop golf skills and engages kids in a fun, social, healthy and accessible way.

“This is such a great way for girls to try golf,” says Serrin Bertino, Golf Australia’s female participation co-ordinator. “Not only will the girls receive professional tuition, but they will also be able to watch the world’s best female golfers in action after their session.”

Registration for the event – at 1pm on Sunday 18 February – includes a free ticket to the championship and girls are encouraged to bring their friends along.

“There will also be a girls-only MyGolf program running each Wednesday at 4pm at Kooyonga Golf Club during term 1. We would love to see girls continue to learn, make friends and enjoy golf for many years to come through Kooyonga’s program,” Bertino says.

No equipment or experience is required. Come-and-try spaces are limited with priority being given to first-time golfers and current golfers who bring a beginner friend.
