Member for Monaro and Deputy Premier of NSW John Barilaro today announced the Queanbeyan Golf Club will host the 2019 Women’s NSW Open for the first time, attracting more than 100 top female golfers from Australia and the world.

The event was secured by the NSW Government, via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, in a five-year agreement with Golf NSW that will ensure it remains in regional NSW until at least 2022.

Mr Barilaro said the event would immediately follow the Australian Ladies Classic - Bonville, another international women’s golf event secured by the NSW Government, ensuring the best golfers stay on to play in Queanbeyan.
