Entries open for Emirates Australian Open

Entries are open for the 2012 Emirates Australian Open.

Entries are now open for the Emirates Australian Open, to be played from 6-9 December at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney.

148 players are exempt into the Championship Proper, with non-exempt players required to contest Qualifying on Monday 3 December at either Liverpool, Carnarvon or New Brighton Golf Clubs.

Eight players will advance to the Championship Proper from Qualifying. Previous years has seen in excess of 200 players enter the Championship for Qualifying.

The handicap limit for amateur golfers is 2.0.

Amateur golfers must enter via Golf Australia, while Australian PGA members must enter via the PGA Australia, and all other non-Australian PGA members must enter via OneAsia.

Entries close on 15 November.
