Final field in place for Men's Senior Match Play

The field is set for the Australian Senior Men’s Match Play Championship to be played from 29-31 October.

The event, in its 6th year, will head to Sydney for the first time and will be played at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club in Sydney’s west.

Defending Champion and Number 1 Ranked senior player Stefan Albinski from NSW is one of the favourites, along with locals Graham Blizard and Denis Dale who are a both members of the Twin Creeks course. Blizard recently finished in a tie for second position at the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur Championship.

Queenslander Peter King, Number 2 on the Australian Men’s Senior Rankings and who also shared a tie for second place at the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur, is sure to put up a challenge along, with Number 4 ranked senior Roy Vandersluis from NSW.

In the Super Senior Section (for players aged over 65 years) Bob Angus (NSW) and Alex Cleave (WA) are the top ranked players.

The event is played over two and a half days, with players who are eliminated from the main championship progressing to consolation flights.
