Star of the show:
Brendan Jones grabbed the spotlight last weekend, bagging his 12th win on the Japan Golf Tour with victory at the Sun Chlorella Classic.

NSW-born Jones, 37, posted a two-under-par final round of 70 to reach 15-under overall at the Otaru Country Club, two strokes ahead of Lee Seong-Ho.

It was Jones' second win at the event to go with his 2003 Sun Chlorella triumph, and also his second win on the Japan Tour this year.

Breakout of the week:
Karrie Webb turned in a strong showing at the LPGA Tour's Evian Masters, finishing two shots behind winner Inbee Park in a share of second place.

Narrowly missing out on her first win of 2012, Webb shot a five-under 67 in Evian-les-Baines, to finish level with American Stacy Lewis.

Shot of the week:
Stuart Appleby had to make do with a tie for 28th at the PGA Tour's Canadian Open, 10 shots behind American winner Scott Piercy.

But he did earn himself a spot on the highlight reel, sinking a 26-foot birdie putt at the par-four 13th during Friday's second round at Hamilton Golf Club, Ontario.
