Western Australia's Hayley Bettencourt held her nerve to win the Final of the NSW Amateur Championship at Twin Creeks Golf Club.
After 18 holes, Bettencourt was 9 up, however Queensland's Ali Orchard dispalyed her fighting qualities to win 5 of the next 9 holes. Bettencourt then steadied to hold onto that margin to win 4/3.
Having qualified in third position following the NSW 72-holes Stroke Play Championship, Bettencourt advanced to the final after defeating NSW's Aliza Huff in the first round, Singapore's Charlotte Thomas in the quarter-final, and NSW's Cathleen Santoso in the semi-final.
